The mission of the Abilene Life Sciences Accelerator is to provide world-class support for early-stage life science entrepreneurs and companies through a continuously improving combination of business development services, facilities, and state of the art laboratory equipment. Emergent Technologies, Inc., operating ALSA under an agreement with the Development Corporation of Abilene works with client companies to provide a variety of services under the umbrella of ETI and its relationships with other institutions. |

Critical expertise and support related to selecting, developing and managing life sciences opportunities in order to achieve both economic development and return on investment is available to ALSA Clients. SBIR/STTR support is available with referrals routinely made to the Texas Tech University Small Business Development Center of Abilene for expert assistance in these grant applications. |

Access to ETI expertise in business, financial, scientific, and legal (where permissible) resources is available to clients. |

Equipment including the BDFACS Canto II, the C.T.I. Elispot Reader, the Biotek Microplate reader and handling system, the omega Ultra-LUM multipurpose imaging system, and the SensiQ unit are now available. We seek federal and state grants to enhance our equipment inventory and solicit equipment recommendations from our clients. |
